Activity 1.1 Establish partnership between NBSC and WWF and plan METT evaluation 4 = activity completed

Activity 2.1 Conduct assessment of training needs and develop training curriculum 4 = activity completed    
Activity 2.2 Identify trainers 4 = activity completed    
Activity 2.3 Have trainers discuss implications and aspects of the Law on Protected Areas 4 = activity completed    
Activity 2.4 Develop training plan and survey questionnaire 4 = activity completed    
Activity 2.5 Identify potential stakeholdersand logistics 4 = activity completed    
Activity 2.6 Hold trainings and evaluate results 1 = just started, limited progress First training on PAs regislation in Cambodia and procedure on PAs management will be conduct in December 2009  
Activity 2.7 Identify feasibility of similar trainings and develop plan for further capacity building 2 = activity fully underway Report on Manual Strengthening Staff Capacity on Law Excution in Protected Areas Management (annex 3).  
     
Obstacles faced in implementing Activity 2: Several issues for training assessment are need to cover. However due to project has limited fund, therefore the training focus only some significant issues to delivery.  
Lessons learned in implementing Activity 2: Strengthen capacity PAs management on training on Law enforcemence, criminal precedure, effectiveness tool management.  
         
OUTCOME 3: Develop legislation for PA governance

Activity 3.1 Conduct analysis of range of governance types and identify potential types 4 = activity completed    
Activity 3.2 Select 2-3 PAs and assess most promising governance types 4 = activity completed    
Activity 3.3 Draft regulation on new community-managed governance type 4 = activity completed    
Activity 3.4 Organize workshops to present draft legal framework 4 = activity completed    
Activity 3.5 Consult and revise draft legal framework 3 = significant progress, nearly complete Conduct second ABS consultation workshop in October 2009  
Activity 3.6 Submit the final draft legal framework to Council of Ministers 0 = not yet begun, no progress Will organise meeting with NBSC on ABS before submit to Council of Minister
