Obstacles faced in implementing Activity 1: The weak knowledge of the project and its objectives by the institutions and the partners accentuates the marginalisation of the DAPL and handicaps the implementation of the project. The lack of coordination of the environmental activities in Mauritania involves overlappings between the various projects. Delay in the work of the consultants.
Lessons learned in implementing Activity 1: A basic work is necessary to put in perspective PoWPA in the context Mauritanian near the actors concerned. The socio-economic collect of data very limited remainder, by the lack of information, and by the partiality of the information delivered by the population. A basic work of investigation near the populations would be desirable later on.

Lessons learned in implementing Activity 2:
It is necessary to find synergy with the projects in progress to implement Outcome 2. A collaboration with the activities of the GTZ is currently in study.
